Han So-hee Recalls Controversial Past Year: Narrow Perspectives, Self-Doubt, Powerless & Resentful
On January 12, Han So-hee posted a lengthy entry titled “Hello” on her blog. This post attracted considerable attention as it was her first after several controversies over the past 10 months.
Han So-hee wrote, “This year is passing by, how was your year-end?” She then asked, “Are you still lingering in the shadows of the dazzling lights that brighten the night, or are you quietly waiting for the upcoming year?”
She continued, “The voices and news of the times we are living in make the new year feel even heavier for me. The only thing I feel I can do is convey a few words of sympathy and comfort, and at times, I even feel powerless and resentful towards the innocent sky.”
Han So-hee expressed her hope, saying, “I wish our next year begins with a small resolution to live a day well, rather than being filled with worries and concerns.”
She also shared her recent life updates, stating, “I’m doing well. During this time, I’ve had time to reflect on myself, think about my narrow perspectives, mistakes, and the resulting feelings of self-doubt. But I still feel I’m lacking in many ways.”
She added, “There’s definitely a different level of courage between my 20s and 30s. These days, I feel the importance of asking how others are doing and appreciating the ordinary days.”
Han So-hee concluded with, “I hope we all remain safe, that it’s a little less cold, a little less painful, and that we can bury our tangled feelings this chilly winter and let flowers bloom in the upcoming spring.”
Last year, Han So-hee was involved in various controversies, including a private life scandal regarding her relationship and breakup with Ryu Jun-yeol, allegations about her behavior at a jewelry brand event, past social media curse controversies, and disputes over her acceptance into a French university.
